Getting Started is Easy Thanks to the entreprenurial spirit of some local DC area inhabitants, getting started on reducing your personal carbon footprint is easy! Earth Aid Enterprises LLC: Initiated as a campaign to "accelerate the development and deployment of sensible home energy efficiency solutions for all Americans." The goal: reduce America's greenhouse gas emissions equivalent of over 1,000,000 cars each and every year. To achieve this, they provide a customized Earth Aid Kit, which is a collection of products that anyone can easily install in his/her home at a very low cost. |

Inspiration is Everywhere! One company in particular really caught my attention: Earth Aid Enterprises whose logo is "Smart for your wallet. Smart for your world." From what I learned, they are focusing on providing sensible home energy efficiency solutions for all Americans. EAE's goal is to reduce America's greenhouse gas emissions by an amount equivalent to removing 1,000,000 cars from the road. So in order to do that, they have created a kit (which is customized for the homeowner, apartment dweller and even student) that can help us equip our homes with energy efficient products. One of the things I love about the site is that as you shop, the site calculates how much you can expect to save on your energy bill. Check them out at www.EarthAidKit.com |

Get a Kit, Cut Your Home’s Carbon Footprint When it comes to cutting carbon emissions, a lot of things — global trade agreements, international climate treaties — are out of our individual control. One area where each of us can make a difference, though, is in our own homes. Houses and other buildings are responsible for nearly half of all greenhouse gas emissions, but they don’t have to be. Not sure how to start? Earth Aid Enterprises, a new venture in Washington, D.C., is offering Earth Aid Kits to get you started. |

Earth Aid: Giving the Gift of a Healthier Earth I'll admit that I over use the lights a bit in my house and I leave the TV or the Radio on sometimes all night. Not only am I raising my electric bill to "a fortune" in the scheme of things I’m being wasteful and neglectful to sweet Mother Earth. For people like me there’s now a helpful gift/solution... These kits are made by Earth Aid Enterprises. They say that a family of three who uses the kit for one year could save $460 in energy bills and 7,442 pounds of carbon. With statistic like that, who wouldn’t want one of these? |

Bright Lights on the Horizon I just found out about a resource that could make it easier for us all to carry out all those small niggly steps that improve energy efficiency in our homes. A site called Earth Aid Kit, facilitates shopping for programmable thermostats, fluorescent lighbulbs, faucet aerators and all those unrelated things you would have to wander around your local hardware store for a while to find. Have you bought your Earth Aid Kit yet? |

Få Co2-nødhjælp (Denmark) Det amerikanske firma Earth Aid Enterprises forsøger at gøre en forretning ud af få de mange bække til at løbe den samme vej. Earth Aid & the Two-Stage Furnace I was led to this by Earth Aid Enterprises, which offers kits of greening supplies at a discount. I looked at their thermostats and discovered notes that some were for 2-stage furnaces! That set me off on the check on our’s. And this weekend, I’ll probably put together a kit including an appropriate thermostat.... |
